An old house with a tiled pyramid roof.

Last week I hiked through Manhattan Beach and made sure to hit the residential blocks I visited a few years ago. The blocks close to the water have three basic eras of architecture. One group represents homes from, say, the 1930's? in an older style, well kept. Another group tends to seem like McMansions; you can get a sense of that from the home to the right. There's a third group I'll be sharing later this week, which consists of tasteful (to me) modern designs. Amherst Street, Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn.
