An open cylinder of bricks, bars, barbed wire, and a flame.

This is a portion of the Holocaust Memorial in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn. I just want to call out a couple details... one, there's barbed wire wrapped within those bars; two, to the left, you can see short tablets; each is engraved with the names of families who were lost. The base of this pillar is a series of concentric circles, chiseled with the names of various countries who lost people to the flames. I shared a picture of that with you last week.
