 August 1 is Swiss National Day, celebrating the founding of their country 720 years ago. This shot was taken at a Swiss National Day celebration on Pier 54 four years ago. I've been to Switzerland twice, thanks to one of our former au pairs who helped bring our daughter through her first half dozen years. I like Switzerland aside from the neutrality thing, but I don't know how core that is to their national definition to say whether or not that negates my saying "I like Switzerland."
