A youth walks past a brick wall covered in inartistic tags.

The building is the abandoned Consumers Park Brewery; they brewed beer (duh) and it was a "flag" stop on the Franklin Avenue Shuttle. Some web pages suggest they closed around Prohibition. The tags here and elsewhere make it seem as if no one has cared about it for a very long time. Seeing as how it's just a block east of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and not far from subways, I was a bit surprised to see real estate in this condition. Montgomery Street. Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
