A monument to remember those who died on prison ships.

This is the Prison Ship Martyrs' Monument. More than 11,000 died on British prison ships near here during the American Revolution, and the dead were just thrown into Wallabout Bay. Some of the remains are in a crypt below that pillar, and maybe someday a King or Prince of the Realm will lay a wreath. Fort Greene Park, Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
