A sign above a building, with only an 'R' left.

Oh heck. It's April 15: our deadline for filing taxes, and the anniversary of Henry James's birth. Clearly, I have nothing related to the date.

I often walk to Red Hook and back (it's a good hike) and the neighborhood often has rewarding stuff to shoot. The Revere Sugar Factory is no longer there (it was a long time favorite for lots of people), but the remnant of this old sign is still there. I wish they'd landmark it; it's just an iconic neighborhood thing. My earliest shot of this is eight years old.

From Van Brunt Street. Red Hook, Brooklyn.
