Walked through an old neighborhood on Sunday, where we lived pre-Gulf War I. Back then Steinway Street's biggest influences were Central and South American, a little European. The Greek and Italian businesses were on Broadway or Ditmars. But now a lot of Steinway features hookah lounges, and sellers at the same time. Astoria, Queens.
