A row of ornate speaking tubes

The former Williamsburgh Savings Bank in Williamsburg (not the tall Williamsburgh Bank building in Fort Greene) has been renovated and is now an event space, going by the name "Weylin B. Seymour's." They retained a lot of the fine details like these speaking tubes, bearing the initials WSB (for Williamsburgh Savings Bank); they were probably required to, as it was landmarked. They were a participating site in this year's Open House New York. Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Ten years ago.
