An old restaurant with red and white stripes.

Continuing on the unnecessary losses in New York City. This restaurant space had been converted to an auto repair business by the time we moved to Prospect Heights (over 20 years ago). It was part of a small cluster of auto repair businesses on Vanderbilt as you approached Pacific Street, and they were active businesses. But they were told to move, in order to make way for the Atlantic Yards/Barclays Center Project. There were some blighted properties in the planned footprint, but this was not one of them. (I believe the auto repair shop had already left by the time I took this photo, 2006.) Prospect Heights, Brooklyn.
